How to fit a horse blanket

Last week while I was brushing down my mare, I noticed I was barely brushing anything but skin on her chest. With a better look and a little investigation, I realized her blanket was rubbing her hair off. I had never been great at sizing blankets, and I realized now that I really sucked. So, how do you figure out what size your horse needs and how do you confirm that it fits well? Follow these quick steps and you’ll be better than I am in no time (but that’s not saying much).
